Yes, they have one tha you can even get in red similar to arecaro sportster type deal. Very nice, lightweight quality. This one comes inred Cipher Euro Racing Seats Black Leatherette Carbon Fiber w/ Red Stitching - Pair [CPA2001PCFBK-R] - $799.00 : Cipher Auto!, Automotive Parts Accessories & Universal Racing Seats |
That's 799 for a pair too. BUT I found them a little while ago for like 650 on carid.com or something. That's a nice looking, steel frame for a great price. Just need brackets/sliders
|
Don't buy fake seats unless the idea of being folded in half during an accident sounds appealing to you. The cost for "real" seats takes into account the actual R&D and crash testing that went into them in addition to the generally superior materials and craftsmanship.
|
I like the Cipher, I have one for my driver's side and don't have any issues with it other than the bracket was a pain to install due to shitty instructions. Beyond that, they're TUV approved for German roads which makes them alright in my book.

Is the cost is the only way to know? Can you give some tips how to know? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

1. Buy from a Bride authorized dealer. Done 2. If you buy used the owner should have receipts and if not tell them to get them for proof of authentic purchase. 3. The fake seat will not say Made in Japan. This should help :) |

If you look on let's say Ebay for crappy knock offs first off I can tell from the pics on most. They do not have a quality look, sagging cloth, bride writing isn't level etc.
Also they do say made in Taiwan on the post. It says Bride-Taiwan ding ding ding. Fake Like I said earlier buy from an authentic dealer. DONE. Can we talk about quality seats and ditch this talk about crappy knockoffs :). |

personally i wouldn't trust anything that isn't FIA approved regardless of manufacturer. this pretty much eliminates any reclining seat from being safe. some might fair better than others

Spring/Summer I run a Zeta III Type L. Even with the Type L(arge) I barely fit with a 32waist. I am fortunate to have narrow hips I guess. The shoulder bolster puts some pressure on the upper part of the door panel. For colder months (i.e. when I don't have events that require a helmet) I run stock touring. The seat warmer sure is nice on those colder days. |
Beautiful seat man! Love the Japan edition seats :D

For those who have status seats. I'm having a hard time deciding between the leather and ultra suede. I don't track my Z, but I prefer a little more of function over looks. I'm assuming the suede prevents you from sliding around in the seat more?
|
cant go wrong with cloth status seats, leather gets too hot, suede gets too dirty
|
Ive asked a few people now and that seems to be the consensus. I also live in vegas so getting leather would probably be a mistake. Thanks for the advice.

Hi guys! I want to know if someone here can throw me some light. Im very interested on the Status Racing Fixed Back Ring or Ring GT Seats. I want to know if they are FIA Approved (I try to check in their website but when I click Fia Approved an error appears) and my other question is if the seats fits without problems in our Z's when the doors are close.
The other seats that im looking are the Recaro Pole Position Thanks in advance! |

I also went with the Evo II. The seats are comfortable. The most I've done in them is 3 hours and normally driving this car it's always tiring but don't have any back pain or cramps. Definitely hugs you while cornering. I bought this to test it on the track because I was bracing against the door panel and my left foot against the rest while turning at speed with the stock seats. After that track night in america in the Poconos I needed a heavy massage lol.
One thing I'm considering changing is a different sliding rail. I'm using the buddy club low down rails at the moment and the seat leans a little back more than I'd personally like for the track. Anyone have any recommendations? https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4614/...413d5409_c.jpg20170727_175510 by Elson Alonso, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4629/...e7386654_c.jpg20170727_175228 by Elson Alonso, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4624/...2164b611_c.jpg20170727_175400 by Elson Alonso, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4619/...782a72e1_c.jpg20170727_175436 by Elson Alonso, on Flickr |
The first question is how tall are you because a seat bracket and rail will raise the height of the seat. I Wedge Engineering seat bracket that the seat is fixed to, no slider. At 6'1" my helmet hits the top of the roof with the slider. I no issues with fixed seat on the bracket.

Some beautiful seats in here guys, I have a question regarding your setups.
The stock seats have an air bag in them, the recaro bucket seats on the nismo have an airbag in them. Most aftermarket seats do not have an airbag in them, I want to put some in but am concerned about safety. Could some one please advise? This is just for a street car driven on weekends, just concerned with the actual safety of aftermarket seats in a collision or even the lack of airbag. Does the airbag not make a big difference or do you guys just have big balls? Thanks |

Sold my BRAUM seats. Boy, were they uncomfortable. it was like sitting on plywood. Definitely DON'T recommend those to anyone. All the hype is that they look nice and they are cheap. Comfort is non-existent. Not to mention, the plastics from the seatbelt loop behind my neck kept splitting in two and breaking apart.
I just ordered a set of, what seems to be, the LAST set of Sparco R333's in the US. Sparco has had these seats on back-order since February and still no update on when they will manufacture them again. I've reached out to just about every warehouse across the US that carries these and all of them were sold out. With that said, they may not manufacture these seats anymore. I searched high and low for DAYS for the all-black ones but could only find 1 last set of black/grey from a local speed shop in Arizona. I didn't want to wait any longer so I just pulled the trigger on the black/grey set. Should be here within a week and will post pics! |
