I really do want to preserve the original shifter... right?

So putting the duct tape on the knob worked (Thanks FromG2Z ) but not how I imagined. Kenchan thanks also!

Wrapped the knob up in duct tape but it didn't really budge. Took the tape off and now the knob was sticky. Used one of my Terry cloths on the knob..strap wrench and OMG....it started to turn.

Camera is kinda crappy and too much flash, it looks much better in person...matches well in the interior. The feel is soooo different, but I think I like it...will drive to work tomorrow.

why is Nissan Predjudiced towards America... I was like wtf, 40th with nav? Oh yea, In canada they can get that...

Knob looks great... I am undecided between this one, the password JDM, or that tommy kairra (or whatever its called) knob. that was is super heavy and felt it on a 350z and loved it

The Tommy Kaira is the best if you are a palm shifter, if you are a shaft shifter...sounds horrible...this is probably the better knob for you

haha jk ... that does make sense... Shifting aggressively I think most would use the SHAFT style but 95% of the time driving around I just toss it into gear using my palm but your theory does make sense..

another knob is the TWM type R knob thats somewhere inte middle of all of these, also heavy, big type R being heavier than regular type R but its also a bit pricey...

Hmm, you know.. I never even thought about this. I tend to palm shift. Hope I like this knob.

Still unable to get the time to install. It's been raining every day.

my black aluminum came in yesterday. I tried and failed haha. The strap wrench just kept slipping. Ill have to try the duct tape trick to see if i can get a better grip. It looks great @thegreatone. Can't wait to be able to get mine on.

sounds great!

looking at thegreatone's strap wrench, he used the larger red one so get that one + cover the knob up with a terry cloth before strapping the thing.

got mine on this past weekend. i didnt get a chance to take any pics but i like how it feels. i didnt actually weigh the black aluminium but ill say it is def lighter than the stock leather shifter but not by too much. still has a solid weight to it, idk if thats good or bad. i like how it looks and feels so far but its taking a little getting used to cause its much much different than the stock one.

good or bad depends on your preference. i like my knobs usually heavier than stock to aid in getting into the gates smoother but if you're not having issues then that's a

the slimmer knob does feel quite different from stock but when you go back to your stock knob it feels like a raquet ball or something... im really diggin this titanium knob!

Glad to hear you guys are lovin' it. I've had mine on now for about 500 miles. I love it. WAY better than stock. I 'feel' my shifts better now, and it's relatively shorter in height and row distance than stock. Plus I get compliments all the time on it by folks that see the set up.
