This is interesting. Slightly off topic. I wonder if the same BCM controls the JDM heated mirrors, and if so is it pre-wired for those? For me not having to

This is interesting. Slightly off topic. I wonder if the same BCM controls the JDM heated mirrors, and if so is it pre-wired for those? For me not having to manually wipe down my mirrors is more important than a rear fog light. Although the fog light does cover the butthole.

Does that mean we have heated mirrors in our NA cars. If so, do they come on with the defrost button or heated back window button? Very interesting as it had been previously stated that we don't have heated rear view mirrors in NA nor is it mentioned in sales brochure.

Well, I've actually ordered the rear fog light from the Z Store...as they are out of stock (there are apparently coming from Japan) it will be 3-4 weeks before I actually have it in hand with a chance to install.
I'm not sure where I'm going to wire it yet but I'm probably going to try using the installed harness with a rocker switch in the center counsol so that I can control when it's on...I'd say this is a good option to have in pre-dawn and twilight conditions as well as fog. I'll let you all know how it turns out!

Our wiring harness in the US is already set up for the fog light. It's run all the way from the fake unit in the rear to the BCM module up in the passenger footwell. We just don't have the switch on our steering column to turn it on (or the actual bulb/unit at the back).
