Stitch dye? Anyone brave enough to try?

I can actually see the red smudge on the leather after the excess is wiped with cloth.
it will leave uneven smudge on the surface and will be apparent under good light source..
problem is that the marker does get absorbed into stitching but does not absolutely repel leather material and will leave permanant smudge, and you could damage your leather trying to get smudge off with chemicals unless you do some extensive chemical experiments

Really? Happen to have some pictures? I'd love to see it. A guy over at Camaro5 said the same thing but a little bit of cleaner once the dye dried and it cleaned any smears right up.

I just died my stitching red this weekend. I used the same painters pen overhaulengines did (thanks for the tips by the way). Everything turned out great. I almost had a stroke when I made that first line as it looked like a mess but with a damn towel it wipes right off except for the stitching. I went back today two days later and noticed a couple orangey looking spots on the leather where I didn't wipe off good enough so I used meguiars leather cleaner and came right off. Didn't affect the stitching either. Anyone on the fence about this mod do it. It's just about impossible to screw up, extremely cheap, and looks fantastic.
