It's a depreciating investment regardless. Enjoy it while it's nice, replace the floor mats when they can't be cleaned any longer. If you keep the car for 20 years, reupholster it if it's that bad.

because carpet mats dont stay looking new, all weather mats on the other hand just need a quick rinse and they're as good as new, and id rather keep everything i own looking new
