Then you can wash the inside too... stuff like this reminds me of wrapping your couch so it stays new. It's a depreciating investment regardless. Enjoy it while it's nice, replace the floor mats when they can't be cleaned any longer. If you keep the car for 20 years, reupholster it if it's that bad.
