after you wash, you need to use the clay bar to get all the hard dirt or other contamination off the car before you wax. you don't have do the whole car with clay bar unless it's extremely dirty. you need a good eye though.

Nooo , you don't need to clay bar after every wash. Clay bar is only once or twice a year.
It's an abrasive, if you do it after every wash, it will dull your paint.
Every 6 months or once a year!

wow really? my co-worker was telling me that i should just look for spots that the wash didn't exactly clean completely. and just use the clay bar on those spots and not on the whole car.

No, you'll ruin your paint. Like I said, claybar the whole car, once or twice a year, no more than that.

my car has swirl marks on it. they are fine and not to many but there is enough that it pisses me off a lil.

When i went to get the car it was dirty i didnt care i said DONT WASH IT. The mother beeps washed it while i was signing papers. i went around the entire car and, i guess i am rude (at least according to my father hehe) i straight out told the nice guy who sold me the car, THIS Is why i said dont WASH IT, i dont want any more swirl marks you guys dont know how to wash a car.
