Is the dash behind ...

The steering wheel real aluminum or painted silver plastic? I tried tapping on it and it made a heavy solid sound. I'm thinking it's real but I could be wrong.

It doesn't look like the other painted plastic inside the car so I always assumed that it was real.

I've got a small scratch that's noticeable. You think I could polish it out with regular cleaner/polish for the car's paint? The last thing I want to do is leave more fine scratches behind.

With the scratch in it can you tell if it is plastic? Or is it still silver in the scratch?

It's still silver. That's why I suspected it was real aluminum.
