so how does that piece mount? tapping screws + tape? i will (for sure) step on that thing by accident when getting out of the car. hahaha

no you wont! i wear size 13 and i dont step on it lol the screws and washers are included and the skirts are pre drilled so its real easy to install. but we added more screws just to be safe
