Yeah Vivid said they have like 7-9 scheduled to come in early august. |
I currently have the black Nismo knob which feels good to grip but I always go to palm so I wanted to try something different.
So for a guy who typically instinctively uses a palm grip and doesn't have giant manhands or sausage fingers what would be the best recommendation out of these choices? TWM type R TWM big type R GrafiXpressions Fat Boy (vendor posted previously in this thread) I can't decide!! :icon17: |

You know, I GISed for pics of funny shift knobs and couldn't find anything more ridiculous except for one which I am NOT going to post here.:rofl2: |

but to add to your list of awesome shift knobs, u should throw the team voodoo pearl in there |
I ended up going with the Fat Boy. The Voodoo was very tempting given the price, but this wasn't too bad either, at least compared to the TWM. Just installed earlier today. I also reused the rubber finisher from the Nismo knob. I didn't try removing the Nismo finisher so I'm not sure if it would look better with or without it. I think it looks good, and it definitely feels NICE. I haven't actually driven with it yet (rain rain rain rain) but am looking forward to it!

I think TWMperformance makes some super clean shift knobs ... and multiple color options.

Does anyone have any experience with these knobs?
"Limited Series" Electric Blue Type-R Shift Knob Does it work with the reverse lock-out? |
I run these in both my Z's and love them. Just about 1/2 lb and feel great in the hand. They come in matte black also.
These have a very cool feature to lock the knob down also, They have a internal set screw so you can set where it locks down tight to adjust height and stopping point. https://zspeed.com/wp-content/upload...ift-knob-1.jpg South Bend Clutch Knobs |

I love my pw:jdm knob. Feels great. And like others said it feels a lot better on shifts versus the thick and heavy stock knob.
|
I like the feel of leather. I may have a fetish.

It's funny, but I agree. I've been having a hard time finding a weighted leather wrapped shift knob that i like and I don't have the patience to weight one myself. The metal ones look great, but I get tired of roasting my hand on metal shifters in the summer. |

I've found similar knobs made by Momo and Razo and most of them clock in between 100 - 200 grams. At that weight I'd rather stick with the stock knob. |
Yeah, i think stock knob is aroud 220g. Id like one around 500 and i have my eye on a couple. Might end up just paying $150 and getting a TWM type-r
