So I'm not crazy!! I have owned a few hatchbacks and never ever would I imagine someone making a car without an interior button for popping the hatch. To make it worse, nothing on the remote. I figured I had to be missing something, checked the manual - nope - nothig!

I've only had my Z a few weeks and when I crossed the boarder last week the customs officer asked me to open the rear. I went to open the door on the car and I thought he was gonna shoot me. "Freeze, what are you doing?". Uhhhhhh, I can't open the hatch from inside, I have to open it from outside. He watched me like a hawk as I got out of the car and opened it for him. In the end, he was cool about it, but his comment summerized it best.

"Beautiful car, but kinda ridiculous you can't open the hatch from inside. Never seen that before."

I could only agree. Major oversight.

There is always a way but who wants to take the chance and possibly make a mess of the BCM and void the warrenty. Thats where I am with this. I'm kinda hoping that it will be one of those things Nissan will add to the newer Z's then we could have it added to ours
