my invisicord came in:

Here's a pic of it installed (at night w/ my shitty camera). No more long cord going down to the 12v adapter!

That's nice. Would definitely fill up a slot of those useless console buttons for the non touring owners. Maybe another time for the direct cable kit with mute button.

Looks good. I'm waiting for my invisicord and radar detector bracket to come in. Are you happy with the way it turned out?

Yeah definitely. The mounting bracket sits flush and up against the mirror; doesn't hang very low from the mirror to block visibility.

The invisicord completes the stealth look; I'm very happy with it.

Just installed my Beltronics radar detector to the homelink mirror in my 09 Maxima. I bought the stationary mount from Chotis engineering for Country Joy linked on the first post of this thread along with the Invisicord. I chose to install it into the Maxima since we usually take it for longer trips instead of the Z.

My question to all who have done this-- how did you reattach the connector to the mirror around the new stationary mount? My cable coming from the post that runs to the mirror isn't long enough to run around the mount and plug in. I had to drill a big hole through the mount so the cable would slide straight through it and reach the mirror. I checked out my Z and it has the same setup where the cable plugging into the back of the mirror is dead center and right in front of where you will put the solid mount.

This was more work and aggravation than I expected.

I don't know where your plug is situated for your beltronics radar but in any case: instead of drilling a hole, you could have just ordered a slightly longer cable from invisicord.

The install itself is still very easy. On my Country Joy custom mount for my Escort Passport radar and shortest length invisicord (8"), I had no length issues or had to route the cabling in particular ways.

In fact, I still have plenty of slack which I ziptied short to keep the install neat and stealth.

Since you've already drilled into your mount, I guess problem solved *shrug*

No. I am not talking about the Invisicord. The Invisicord is a great product and worth the money. I am talking about the stock power cable that comes down from the roof down to the mirror. That cable is too short for me to wind around the stationary radar detector holder.

The location where this cable plugs into the mirror is in the exact same position on my 09 Maxima and 09 370Z. It is in the dead center of the mirror right in front of where the new radar detector holder hangs down. It was physically impossible for that cable to plug into the mirror with the holder in place. The stock power connector cable is too short, not the invisicord connecting into the radar detector and mirror connector.
