Well, worse case scenario i could always repaint at a body shop, so is it worth a try to grit it down and then use the touch up paint that

Well, worse case scenario i could always repaint at a body shop, so is it worth a try to grit it down and then use the touch up paint that comes in the spray can form ? and put some clear coat on top of it to give it some shine. I've got no problem if the difference is minor.
