at the top i used one long tape. i peeled back the liner about 2" on each side, and folded the liner outward so that i can grab and pull it off while mounting the diffuser about 4-5" at a time to the bumper.

after all the liners were off, at the very end i gave it a good push counting to 30 a section at a time. and repeated that 4-5 times. the adhesive needs to be squashed in order to become fully active.
