Your Opinions Please. Rear Fog Red vs Black

Is that light even legal to have in the US?

Although I think it looks cool in red, I'm content to leave mine black.

Of course it is legal, why would it not be? Alot of people with trucks buy the red light for there rear hitch. It's not like blue, purple, etc...

Then why not an option on USDM vehicles?

It is the law in many foreign countries. If it was the law here, it would be on the car.
Also, it not illegal in the U.S., unless it's flashing.
Personally, I think it's a great idea. When you're in a heavy fog, it's hard to see a lot of tail lights. Getting the light down lower improves visibility greatly. It'll probably be my next mod once the temperatures outside drop below the boiling point.

Well besides money, there is no need for an extra light in the rear in the U.S. But overseas in Europe & Japan for example they need that extra foglight so it comes standard on the car. It's just another quark like how they have rear windshield wipers(thank god) and we don't.
