Silicone is not called silly-stick for nothing - you need to get good coverage on the leading edge (as far as airflow over the car goes) of the CF B-pillar bits and then cross-hatch to the rear edge, then press fit, and wipe away any excess - there should be instructions on the kit .. either damp cloth or some specific fluid will be called for, then I'd used regular tape to maintain pressure so that the CF pieces cannot "spring" away as soon as press fit is removed ..... I have various non-structural "bits" fixed to my race car with RTV Silicone and it has not come off in 18 years, despite regularly running at 140-160mph on the circuit.
As I said, not called silly-stick for no reason .... |
