My guess is the brake (and clutch) have slip on rubber backings. But from your description, the gas pedal swap could be complicated. If the enclorue housing you described can not be easily detached from the pedal, Nissan may need to sell the pedal complete with the enclosure assembly. Which will make it more expensive and still a complicated install for the non-mechanically inclined. I'm trying to imagine what this enclosure might look like. Most gas pedals connect to an arm that goes up or perhaps into the floor. Is the gas pedal itself one piece or can the aluminum look covering be removed like on your brake pedal?
