Okay, I need some clarification of what people are seeing/considering as the aluminum pedals? We have the Touring/Sports model, and the pedals are no more than either hard plastic, in the case of the dead and gas pedal; the brake pedal (as ours is an automatic) is rubber, and I suspect that the clutch pedal is rubber too. All the pedals are simply clad in an aluminum fascia that is no more than 1/16" thick, rolled on the outer perimeters to look like a solid block of aluminum, but they are not—the aluminum is purely a cosmetic inlay, period. The gas pedal is more than a just a hinged-to-the-floor-affair as there is an enclosure assembly behind the pedal that houses where the cable enters and probably (as I'm guessing) other self-adjusting mechanisms for cable tension.
