Wow, so sexy. That is understated and yet adds just enough visual pop to really make the car stand out. Beautiful!

tsolin01 09-13-2010 05:12 PM

Looks awesome on black. I do think the side profile needs something to bring it together. can't wait to see what it looks like on blue

AK370Z 09-13-2010 05:13 PM

That looks really nice. I think I would like to try out the 1 pc cf lip with my cf front fang. (whenever it becomes available)

Question, all the screws goes on the bottom of the bumper right? No drilling on the front of the bumper, am I correct?

Yes all screws are on the bottom. 3 on the bottom and 1 in the wheel well on each side... 3 on the underside of the center peice.

There is a lip on the inside of the side pieces near the top to use 3M tape as well as the back side of the center piece. They send 2 rolls of 3M tape along with the screws and that stuff sticks like crazy, but you have to clean the car really good. I forgot to clean 1 side and it didn't stick for ****. I used a bug and tar remover. Safe on clear coat but stripped some of the wax off. Now they are stuck so good, i cant take them off without having to yank pretty hard on it and even then it's very difficult. (had to remove center section to split difference in shortage of length and almost couldn't get it un-stuck)

Red__Zed 09-13-2010 05:31 PM

Looks good. I like it!

Cmike2780 09-13-2010 06:09 PM

That looks great atx. I just got mine this morning. The gaps where the pieces meet are also on the FRP version, but its not too bad. You pretty much need to be a foot away to notice. It looks understated in the pics, but it's def more pronounced in person. The lip sticks out about 2".

Did you remove the bumper to install? (It would make it easier, but it doesn't look necessary)

I'm also having second thoughts leaving it unpainted after lookin at your pictures.

DannyGT 09-13-2010 06:30 PM

Can we get some far away (20 feet) shots showing 3/4 and side angles? Looks great...

Still waiting for EVO-R to PM me about a piece??? One piece, no CF. EVO, get at me!!!!

wolf370z 09-13-2010 06:46 PM

Wow looks killer... I must get this lip on my car.

SophiaZ 09-13-2010 06:56 PM

Looks sweet!!!! I'm in the market for buying a lip..not sure which one tho..was going for INGS but they don't have me sold yet

res0zsfa 09-13-2010 07:42 PM

NO... dont remove the bumper. There are some areas where you have to put a little bit of force on the peices while you drive the screw in to get it to fit just right. It's MUCH easier with the bumper on. All i did was jack the front up and put it on jack stands so i had enough room to lay down and get a drill underneath.

One thing i know for sure that has been debatable in this thread... is if you install the sides without the center, it will look funky.

Thanks for the info. I test fitted without the center piece & it doesn't look right at all. The side pieces stick out too much, especially if your looking down. The sides look a lot bigger in person.

kenchan 09-13-2010 08:08 PM

Atx- thanks for the side shot. The decorative line and outer line of lip is parallel. :p

Just keep tabs on this thread. He's gonna post if he has any available.

atx370z 09-13-2010 08:51 PM

How long ago did you send PM? He hasn't been on this thread for a while. Maybe send a contact us from the evo-r website... dunno man. Im sure he would return your PM if he got it.

I think there is a couple week wait on any more lips, could be wrong though. They haven't mass produced any yet. Seems they are only making a few at a time.

kenchan 09-13-2010 09:00 PM

nono, they were just one off's. he's not going to make any more so you guys are all out of luck. :rofl2: ;)

98intrigue 09-13-2010 09:18 PM

I wonder when the next shipment will go out...I paid for my front lip/diffuser a week ago and am anxiously awaiting. The car will be a whole new car to me...adding a lot of aftermarket stuff :)

m4a1mustang 09-13-2010 09:52 PM

Wow that lip looks effing awesome.

I thought he said it would be about a week after the 1st batch. In any case, he said you would be the first to get it on the next availability.

Chris_1 09-13-2010 10:05 PM

Looks real good, better then I thought thats for sure.

Boost_lee 09-13-2010 11:10 PM

Awesome pics atx. Making it hard for me to decide if I should paint or not...

You can't go wrong either way.

370Z JT 09-14-2010 12:21 AM

Who's gonna be the next person to install it? I wanna see it on a PW unpainted!!

Chris_1 09-14-2010 12:46 AM

I think this lip is perfect for anyone, just wanting to add a front lip, no sideskirts or anything to their car to keep the stock lines. Its clean, but adds that personal touch.

Csquared 09-14-2010 01:12 AM

Oh I want it in 1 piece CF. Hey evo I asked about the CF side skirts before, would shipping be cheaper if I got them together?

370Z JT 09-14-2010 01:24 AM

^ I will be getting the same.I know he will give you a better shipping quote.

As for issues with the tape, I didn't like the tape EVO-R provided with the B pillar. You can read about it here: http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...tml#post618426

You should look into 3M VHB tapes. Me, Kenchan and few others are very happy with with. I didn't even use bolts for my rear diffuser!!! These tapes are just absolutely amazing! Check them out: YouTube - 3M VHB tape

kenchan 09-14-2010 08:39 AM

kenchan 09-14-2010 08:41 AM

The 3M tape they gave me stuck so good, that when i put the center peice of the front lip on and had to take it back off to make up the difference in length shortage, i had to pull so hard i thought i was either going to break the lip or rip the paint right off my bumper. It was crazy. I think it all has to do with how good you clean the surfaces and what you clean them with.

kenchan 09-14-2010 11:17 AM

but with VHB tape if you pull hard enough your garage also moves. :D

cmike, if you are going to use them all the time, then you can buy a big roll from uline.com. But if you are not, there are many guys on ebay sell them. I personally bought from this guy twice and he has been selling them for while now. Good guy. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
