didnt get to finish today, but i did grab a low-end garmin 205W at bestbuy...
and made my bracket... was a suction bracket thingie...  found some bracket so bent it into shape...  fits pretty well...  what it would look like at the end... just a test fit. as you can see i can pull power from my HU's USB if needed. i dont plan on using hardwired power.  going to put the hinge on tomorrow and paint it matte black, add some EZ felt on the backside of the bracket to eliminate any scuff marks to the dash when the cubby door is closed.
