Default 2015+ Nismo Stuck Hatch FIX

Bought a few adhesive bumper pads from Amazon and placed them into the indents that the trunk rubber pads fit in to. Also stuck them on to the rubber accordion pieces on each side that compress against the side of the trunk when closed.

Tested it several times and it pops right up. Sits flush when closed as from the factory.

I’ve done the exact same thing before. But the adhesive eventually degrade with moisture and heat. Hopefully yours hold up better.

I've cleaned the surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and used an adhesive promoter so hopefully it will hold up.

I got clear ones and twice as large, so attached to the body only. Same effect.

I did the same thing using flat adhesive pads used for furniture. I got the ones that fit perfectly in the indented area. It’s been 3 years and the hatch still opens correctly every time.
