Default Broken Manual Lumbar Support on Touring Seats

Has anyone else experienced a broken manual lumbar support on the touring seat?

The tension in the handle is completely gone. When I adjust the handle, nothing changes in regards to the lumbar adjustment.

Any ideas? I'm thinking it is a broken lumbar cable.

Anyone know how to open up the seat to diagnose the issue?
