I don't understand this. How is it a warranty item? Do you have a service policy you paid for? In the service book it is NOT listed as standard equipment on the '09 Z but is available as an optional accessory. They don't owe you a free one. The 15K/12 month check says to replace it, so that is part of the service you are paying for as part of the check, but the filter is not free. Consumables rarely are and your warranty specifically states that (Page 6). Either way you're paying for both the service and the part. They should have said You'll pay for it.
