My recirculate mode was clicking because the cabin filter was so thick that it interfered with the door that goes from recirclate to open. I have to buy a smaller one, I bought a filter that was for a Maxima. It is too thick

"These parts have been discontinued from Nissan. I have cancelled the order. Sorry for the inconvenience" Hopefully you'll get yours. |
For anyone who thinks this mod is a waste, here is a pic of the cabin air filter I took out of my girlfriend's Sentra. It was changed 25,000 miles ago.

Nasty.... Nasty... Nasty.
So if her car had no filter, all of that crap would have been blown in to the interior of the car, or would have been stuck somewhere in the HVAC system. |

I had problems because I used a Maxima filter, which is too big.
I couldnt find the CF10157 at Walmart. According to the book, 2004-2006 ES330 should use CF10132. I ended up getting that. While it does fit, it does end up to be a little bit long. I might order the 10157 online and see what the difference is. |
The only one I could find locally it the STP and the fit is not 100% so I decided to order the OEM last weekend. Parts guy advised that it should be here Wednesday. Today I was advised that the order was canceled by Nissan. Parts guy states that he called Nissan to inquire and was advised that the order was canceled because the '09/'10 does not have the filter. I advised that I know the '09 does not but I thought the '10 did as it is in all of the literature. He states that Nissan advised him that the '10 does not have one either. Claims they decided not to include the filter after the literature was printed. :wtf: Who has a '10 that can verify there is no filter?

Just use this, buy through amazon. I have it in my car (09) and perfect fit:

Bump, has anyone looked into getting an OEM filter now that the 2011 models are out?
Any consensus on what the best fitting charcoal filter is? |

Has anyone had any issues with the '09 system not being able to handle the added pressure built up by the obstruction? |
Mine works perfectly and I haven't seen any complaints on here.

@ kenchan,
I got my Fram filter and am going to install tomorrow. I know to install dark side down, but do the two sides with foam point left and right or front and back? Thanks!! |
Here's the link to Spartan's pic of the install he did back 5/4/10

Thanks Kaizen. +1 He put the foam sides facing front to back. Would it make more sense to have them on the sides to give a better seal in the box? |
^ I would think so, but i have not done this mod thus i am just guessing.

Nice find. I am going to do foam on the sides. Seems like that will provide the best seal. |
