I mean knock on wood, they haven't done wrong by me like I've heard with some users here. They've usually been pretty good with calling me if there's an issue.

I got an email from them yesterday saying that my order has been placed, and they will ship directly from vendor in late March. So probably looking early to mid April for delivery?

Saw that after I placed order with Z1. Got excited at first as it showed “in stock”. Then saw it was also pre-order.

We are taking first deliveries at the end of this month

Saw a picture of this headlight with 15+ Nismo front end, they go quite well together.

I'll throw up a quick review once received and installed. I've basically got a stock 2013 Sport Touring with OEM front bumper.

Zodiac-v2 02-18-2020 02:43 AM

Looks like I'll be putting my tax return to good use :D But I'm also interested in a group buy too if it ever happens

I hope your review is better than the comparison pictures Morimoto used...

Well I’m no expert at doing reviews, but I’ll give my opinion on quality, fitment, light output, etc..... and let you form your own opinion.

I would be interested if they did something that resembled the OEM layout with a bi-LED single lens design. I think it looks a little weird with the triple lights when most of the Zs of past only had a single beam (had a projector and high beam, i know)

cooltoy 02-18-2020 10:08 PM

Part of me likes it, part of me agrees with you.

I'm curious what the headlights look like in daylight with the lights off.

EZT 02-19-2020 01:03 PM

I have to say it, but they completely ruined that poor 370Z in my opinion.

OptionZero 02-19-2020 01:05 PM

The triple LED pod works better on aggressively styled cars. It's a bit much on a closer to stock body

Zodiac-v2 02-23-2020 12:10 AM

In case you're not aware, there is a longer video of this headlight on the car as well as a segment with cutoff comparison to stock.

It won't let me embed it for some reason (maybe because video is unlisted), but here is the direct link:

I imagine it won't make much presence in that state with the black housings subduing the appearance of the projectors.

I'm thinking it's the DRL and turn signal that can possibly make or break the look. It's pretty...extra. I have the Nismo DRL's active so my car is going to look like this \ /

Would've been nice if they did halos/outlines instead, or kept the DRL/Blinker on the blades.

nestorz34 02-23-2020 11:40 PM

Love the tailights! Yeah a lilttle boy racer but isn't our car known for that? lol
I can't stand the stock led/halogen tailights. I like the look of the black housing, gives the Z an aggressive look.

TacoSport10 03-05-2020 04:47 PM

Looks like the first pre-order batch sold out. New orders not scheduled to ship till mid May.

OptionZero 03-05-2020 04:52 PM

Have you tried here?

https://www.yuniqueled.com/collectio...led-headlights

NorthStyle 03-05-2020 04:59 PM

Yunique actually has decent pictures. I was thinking that the lense was tinted but it's just the projectors and the housing are both painted black...

I wonder how the high-beam works on them

It's a BI-LED projector so I'm assuming it's using a reflector shield to block the high beam pattern or maybe another LED???

Projectors use a shutter. It's closed on low, then opens for high. That's how they change beam pattern.

“Shutter” that’s the word I was looking for. Lol

If anyone is still interested in these headlights, YuniqueLED is offering a 15% discount until the end of March, so the price comes out to $1150. They're in Winnetka, CA, FWIW

NOTE:
I do not work for them
I have never shopped with them
I am not advertising for them
I am just passing on a sale that i saw to the benefit of the community

Z1 still has them listed for $1,150. It’s the second pre-order batch.

I did the pre-order from Z1 for the 2nd batch of the headlights and the total came out to $1352.63. Ground shipping via FedEx was $107 bucks and California tax was just over 95.

That's probably how TPS came up with the strange price of $1352 (as they weren't charging shipping on orders over $200). I checked their site to follow-up and they are backordered as well with an estimated ship date of June 8th.

The guys/gals who ordered the first batch will have to let us know when they get their shipment.

I’ve been looking for the email with shipping confirmation every day. So far no luck. Hopefully any day now.
