I have not heard of any issues of these ever falling off or braking.

I am sure there are individual cases of breaking, but nothing is break proof if care is not taken.

I've had these on for about 2 years now. No issues at all. No cracking or blemishes after 2 years of daily use. The 3m tape they provide isn't the strongest stuff, but I still used it. No problems to this day.
