Does the car still run and drive fine? Do you have a way of pulling the CEL code and posting it here so we can see what's possibly going on? Don't go to the dealer for the CEL code. Go to someone like Advanced Auto or Pep Boys or a friend that has an OBDII reader. Someone who isn't trying to sucker you out of $6k.
