I just heard back from CTD in Germany. Apparently they aren't as far along in the development of hood dampers for the 370Z as they first indicated. If there are any forum members in Germany with a 370Z contact them though because they are looking for one to assist with the development of their hood dampers for the 370Z.

We have a bunch of redline ones in stock for the Subarus. I'd be interested to see if we could adapt them to fit on the 370z.

Any NY/NJ folks that want to help us out testing something let us know and we'll make an effort to get them together. We would need a real willing 370z owner to help us out and in the end help the rest of the community.

Sorry, I don't understand the need for hood struts. They are a PITA when you are actually working under the hood in the engine bay, and I usually pop them off their pivots to do so.

I'm sorry but that Prop is way more of a PITA then hood struts.

vipor 03-12-2010 06:28 PM

If the struts don't lift high enough I can see your complaint, but as long as they lift about as far as the hood prob I'm voting for the struts.

Agreed. Also, you tend to get more points for shows versus the standard prop bar.

Actually... I'm pretty sure using your favorite brand of quick detailer brings more points than both the prop AND the dampers. Or wait, was it a NOS bottle? :p

I don't see why I have them on my car and they work great,it is all a matter of what kit you get and how and where it gets installed at on the car if it is going to work properly.

EVOR 09-08-2011 01:11 AM

Since I got my Nismo 370Z. I have already ask our hood damper factory to work on these. They already have done all the measurements and custom brackets to them. No cut or drill need it. All need to make is a small pin hole on the rubber piece on the side of the fender. Also already made stronger rear hatch dampers for people who have wings like AMUSE. People can also change your rear dampers to carbon version.
