I'm in if they look good. Looking for some air flow here in AZ for my SC, Z.

Late to the party but I am all in for a functional vent setup as I am reworking the entire front end of the car over winter to increase cooling ability.

Interested . waiting to see how it looks on the vehicle

I'm interested. Even without forced induction the heat gets trapped under the hood. And if they add some style it's just icing on the cake :-)

In for group buy if quality and functional

I cut a hole in my friends Mustang hood a few years back. We installed a shaker hood scoop. Measure twice, cut once. LOL
He was much more nervous than I was... |

Eagle will be the first and I maybe the second. Both of us have oem hoods we don't use so we have no worries!

I was just researching this idea, then found this thread. What are the opinions on the 'vette-style hood vent at this link: https://www.carid.com/apr-performanc...ood-vents.html Anyone good with Photoshop to see what it would look like on a Z?
Would require some creative fabrication, and maybe trimming on the under-hood frame. Another idea that could work in concert with such a hood vent is a shroud that fits around the radiator/intercooler and snugs tight against the vent when the hood is closed. |
This project is well under way and we are eagerly awaiting the first pictures of the design. Stay tuned.

John just got back to me, fabrication is done...he expects to pick the vents up this week which he means he'll be making a trip to my house to pick up my hood soon. Expect more details in the coming week or two.

Here is something to consider as well. I increased the flow of air into my front bumper as suggested by Chase and others and the results are awesome. It was over a 100* at Auto Club Speedway and my water temperature never exceeded 220 and my oil temp high was 240*.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e449600c50.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cca898feb7.jpg
