If you have any experience R&Ring interior panels, you should be able to DIY. If not, you should be able to find a buddy with experience that can help out.
The electrical plugs are polarized, so you'd have to make a serious effort to screw that up. I doubt that the switch is repairable - but you might get lucky and a spring just popped out of place and can be easily restored.
