Left DTRL not working??

Hey guys, I just got my 370Z back from the crash repairers. The driver side door had to be replaced, the drivers side side skirts and front quarter panel and also the drivers side a-pillar all had to be repaired/replaced.

Straight after the crash repairers finished the work the car was immediatly towed to the auto-electricians to have the alcohol interlock device serviced.

I picked the car up and everything was fine but a day later I realised the left side day time running light was not working.

I took the car back to the crash repairers and auto- electricians also but both of them denied they had touched the left side of the car and had nothing to do with it not working.

So I was wondering is it common for the passenger side day time running light to cease working for no apparant reason?

Also I am in Australia so the passenger side is the left, drivers side is right.

Get a voltmeter and check that you have power at the DRL lamp module. If you have power, the module is bad. If no power, follow the wiring (wiring diagrams and more in FSM) until you find the problem.

I know the DRLS are on the same wiring. If one is working the other should. Pull back the wheel well lining and check its plugged in. If its faulty you should be able to claim under warranty?

Well I am not tech save on cars at all.

So I am taking it to Nissan service centre tommorow, who is going to take a look. If it is faulty I can claim under warranty, but if it isn't faulty and just a loose connection or something I will have to pay the labor they said.

Is there a local shop you know and trust. I don't know how easy it is to get to it -- the FSM should have details, but you might just be able to undo some splash guard plastics to get to it.

Whether its just a few push pins and screws, or worse -- if the whole bumper has to come off -- to get to it, Nissan will still probably charge more than a local shop.

Yea just took it to Nissan today. They said it was just a wire unplugged. But I was still charged $66AUD for labor.

How does the wire become unplugged?

The crash repairers said they did not touch the front bumber at all.
