Question about taking apart door handles for paint.

Hi all. Question for anyone who has dismantled their door handles when they painted them.

How do you get the actual handle portion out without breaking /cutting something?




I don't see away on the back of the handle to remove the rod that handle latch pivots on as it doesn't seem to be able to removed from either end.



I thought I would ask first before I start cutting things.
