Pressure washing Plasti dip on OEM Rays?

Got the wheels with a very thin layer of dip, was wondering if this is a safe technique? Any removal tips appreciated

I pressure washed mine all the time with no problems. Granted there were about 12 layers of dip on them

Don't hit them close up with the washer. Not a good idea even for paint honestly. Keep the wand back so it disperses a little and you'll be fine.

Just ordered one of these myself. https://www.shop.brushhero.com

Bash me if you want....Plastidip is just way cheap and does not deserve to be put on a Z. Yeah 370's are the cheapest HP for the buck but come on, a tool coating for forged wheels, emblems and other parts ?

1: 370's are no where near the cheapest HP for the buck

2: plastidip now comes in I don't even know how many colors anymore. There's a reason why it's popular.

Someone touch you inappropriately with a can of plastidip when you were younger?

So I guess Plastidip is so much worse than the crappy paint that Nissan uses.
I don't get the obsession that the Z is some sort of mythical creature with no equal.
It's a great car and I love mine big time, but the "It's too cheap for a Z" is kind of overboard.

Yeah, I think that fine line gets fuzzy at some point when people are overly conscious about not being like Honda guys or whatever.

Guilty of that myself when perusing for a shift knob and saw the the DC and Blox stuff. Never really hit the snob appeal as I went for one from PW:JDM, but was the feedback on the long thread at this forum had me assured it was a well-made piece. Couldn't quite come to spending too much on something I may not potentially like.

Op. No issues using a pressure washer to take off PD from your wheels. There is a softener that you can use before spraying it off if you'd like,

if it has any nicks, or if the sides are already peeling up, you probably wouldnt want to do it. if the pressure gets underneath it is going to peel.

as for the "i hate plastidip" crowd. Just like anything, if overused, it can look strange and cheapen the look of a car. However it can be used successfully to accent certain things, and if done correctly, most people don't even know. I love my Z, and with this last round of parts I ordered I will have well over 35K in parts on my car... I use plastidip #justsayin. (note: not bragging, i know many folks have more in to their car than me, just saying it isn't always about being cheap).

Hmmm....

You guys need to watch this and educate yourself on current dipping products.

...I wasn't actually hating on dipping, just touching on why some other people perceive/dismiss it as cheap. Literally followed up to a post discussing the same thing.

I disagree as well. Its nowhere near as nice as new wheels but it gave my Rays a fresh new look
