Driving the car down to The Villages this next weekend and we will see how many times they scrape on the whole trip
Consider it the destruction warning indicator, that'll alert right before you shred the underbody panels.

No problem, I love the car and it was good lighting, thanks for the feedback! In the future you can also reward people with a Like and/or add to their reputation with the scale icon under their name at the bottom of the post in the middle. Personally I like your comment, that's kind of a hard shot to get as the air dam is usually in the shadows.

The inclusion of the little air dam shows Nissan's attention to detail, imagine the cost that went into creating a mold for that part, the research and development, and everything else. It probably cost them $30,000 up front to stick that on the Z (or at least throw it in your trunk).

The first time I heard the scraping sound from under the Z I just about flipped out realizing I had damaged my new car, and could not believe I could not find damage anywhere on the vehicle. Turns out it was that little plastic resonator, that makes a horribly loud complaint anytime it gets near an obstruction. Maybe they should be called "bump naggers," because anytime the front end gets near a protrusion they remind us we're not driving a 4 x 4.
