You've probably already tried this, but have you plugged the spare into the slot just below and to the left of the steering column? If memory serves, this helps to

You've probably already tried this, but have you plugged the spare into the slot just below and to the left of the steering column?
If memory serves, this helps to pair the fob to the vehicle... though there are probably more steps than just plugging it in. |
