Default One clip broke, and deal says I need to replace the entire thing??

Accidently broke a clip holding onto my pillar while installing an aftermarket hood (lol i know stupid)

clip was weak prior im guessing and it snapped really easily.

It looks like it's attached to the base of the hood hinge and the pillar,
I went to the Nissan dealership near me and asked the technician to check it out to see if it's an easy fix.
Told me I would need to replace the entire outer pillar, because when pulling it off to even attempt to "replace" the clip the other clips will break.

Is that my only other solution? to get a entire new piece and paint it, just cause of the small clip?? Here's a video to get a better idea of where it's located.

Crazy glue it. How often do you need to remove that pillar?

crazy glue? what two pieces did you crazy glue together? the pillar to hood hinge (part that snapped) or the trim closest to the windshield that layers over the other trim (where the wipers are)

don't think i can crazy glue the part that snapped but the physical fastener that snapped it very loose on both ends, so gluing it wouldn't be secure at all.

I've read of other people using sticky foam tape on a loose B pillar finisher. Might work for you.

I actually just repaired mine today with some 3D printed replacement clip holder brackets of my own design! If you have access to a 3D printer these seem to work great. just sand/grind off the remainder of the existing bracket from the rear of the B pillar finisher, then epoxy on the replacement, pop in the nylon clip, and good to go back on the car.

EDIT: actually i misread OP, wrong pillar. These are for the B pillar finishers. maybe something could be printed to fix this issue too? I can't tell exactly whats broken from the video.

This part will not fly off at speed. If you'd watched the video, he's not talking about the B-pillar.

OP. I might have one of these clips. I'll check and let you know tonight.

The A-pillar will fly off at speed. I talked to a guy who broke that exact clip and had it happen. I'm pretty sure someone has posted on the forum about theirs flying off, too (although I'm not sure if that clip was busted or not).

Probably luck of the draw depending the tech that does it... My 2011 needed a replacement and the safelite tech was really meticulous and said he had done a lot of 350/370's before... He did say there were a lot of clips that could break if you got someone who was unfamiliar with them though.

I would watch whomever does it very closely and make sure the company takes care of you if anything breaks.

VERY difficult to do. The part above the door is screwed on, which I found out after I cracked mine.
