Here's what I think is happening

1. Open door, window doesn't go down like it's supposed to
2. Close door, and don't hear the "zppp" noise or see the window go up
3. Go "wtf" and open door again, and the window goes down.

I know the window probably doesn't seal right without the window being down & going back up after you shut the door, but I'm concerned there is an interference issue between the top of the window and the car body, is that the case? I hope not. I don't see any damage.

I pressed and released the little switch in the door jamb that senses whether the door is closed about 20 times and the window went up and down as expected.
Same with me. For what it's worth, I did the reset a second time and I haven't experienced the problem since.

Appreciate the response!

I did do the reset after it happened yesterday. I was just out in the garage, opening and closing my door like an obsessive-complusive maniac about 25 or 30 times and could not make it happen. Hopefully the neighbors didn't see it... "WTF is wrong with Davey, he's finally lost it."

Then I really tried to make it happen, by opening it slowly, only opening it part way and "bouncing" it off the little jamb switch/spring etc. and I CANNOT make it happen.

I also thoroughly checked the roof (with my glasses off and an LED flashlight, that's serious stuff!) and I see zero damage. But I *know* I did not see or hear the window go up, it sounded... Ugly... and when I opened the door again, the window went down, to the normal amount it goes down.

Maddening when intermittent stuff like this happens.

Even nuttier that Nissan doesn't see it as a design flaw, just how it is.

Thanks JARblue I just replaced my factory battery and I couldn’t find the reset function not realizing its in the owners manual, but found yours first again.
