You can run a wire from the radio harness or Cig lighter to switch the relay on

You can switch the scavenging pump and boost controler off it , get a good relay like Bosh

yep, run a relay off the direct wire to battery or just tap into another switched 12v. but i thought the cigarette lighter was either 10A or maybe even 15A. should be plenty to power your accessories like a simple boost controller even with the usb charger and radar detector.
