Default looking for another switched power source

I already have my wideband (5amps) hooked into my cig lighter circuit and if I'm charging my phone and running my radar detector I don't want to pop fuses.

Also my scavenging pump is running off the wiper motor.

I need a circuit to add my boost controller into Any ideas?

1) Run a new wire straight to the battery. Remember to put a fuse or breaker in the line.
2) To find existing wiring, check the FSM.

Direct to battery will leave it on thus dead battery.

Forgot the "add a manual switch" part. Sorry about that

If you are going to be running a lot of added stuff, I suggest adding an interposing relay - coil driven by any switched wire, power for contacts from battery/fuse.

If you want to find an existing wire, the FSM is your best bet.

Haha I tried looking for another one in the fsm. Got dizzy. I was hoping to avoid another relay (have 2 from the BP kit.) I'm running out of places to hide them haha. I think I may have found one though.

There's one in the driver kick panel. Can't remember which off the top of my head but it's where I tied everything in. Use a volt meter to try them out and see which are switched and which are constant.

Do this but run a relay on it

You can run a wire from the radio harness or Cig lighter to switch the relay on

You can switch the scavenging pump and boost controler off it , get a good relay like Bosh

yep, run a relay off the direct wire to battery or just tap into another switched 12v. but i thought the cigarette lighter was either 10A or maybe even 15A. should be plenty to power your accessories like a simple boost controller even with the usb charger and radar detector.

If one of those relays is switched, you should be able to use it, as long as you don't exceed the relays specs.

Well found one. There are 2 separate circuit for the 2 different cig. Lighters. One is called cigar lighter and the other is power socket. Moved my add a circuit from the cigar to the empty slot above (also switched) and put another add a circuit to the power socket.

Well some of those I didn't want to overload the wires especially the 20a stuff. . Just got lucky that Nissan decided to run wiring to the empty spot. Each add a circuit takes up space of 3 fuses.

Since you have multiple connections, you may benefit from adding a fuse block. I have personally used this on my sport touring bike. Nice quality and you can add 6 new connections that can be constant or switched.

Fuzeblock

I am considering it. The area under my battery cover is looking pretty messy.
