I dont know the size of the hole that he did. I'd look on Amazon and find some where around a 2 to 2-1/2" cap and do the hole the same size. I wanted mine small. I was able to just install a small rubber cap

I don't think it matters what size you cut it. AS long as it is big or small enough for your needs.


If I were to do something like that, I would finish it with a desk cable grommet.

I did the same thing. Make sure not to center the hole, but go as high as possible towards the front of the car, as the struts are positioned more to the front, rather than in the center.

Regarding the size - the larger it is, the easier it will be for you to adjust. Find a cap first, then match the hole to the cap.
