They may or may not have someone in house that does the work, and if they do, I bet he doesn't just do PDR all day. If they don't, they're just farming it out to the local guy for a higher price than you would probably pay him directly. FWIW, the Service King I used in Austin did a decent repair job on our old Honda when my wife got into an accident. But after I was done inspecting the repairs under the hood, the idiot dented my brand new hood closing it improperly.

They wanted to repair it, but I told them to fvck off and had insurance cover a PDR specialist. He got like $125 from insurance to fix the hood, and he offered to fix a half dozen other minor dings and dents for an extra $75. I was very pleased with the work.
