Future Release : ARK PERFORMANCE INC HFC & GRIP TYPE 2 v2

Hello 370z Community. I know most of you guys are anticipating many things to come out for the 370z.

Here is the Break down...

1. 370z Type 2 v2
We have been working on making every batch count. We are taking all of our comments and suggestions seriously. The biggest downside to the type 2 was the ground clearance. We cut and remade our JIGS so that the clearance between the ground and our exhaust is close to stock. This way, even the hellaflush guys would consider running our exhaust systems.

2. 370z Type 1.
Through a series of tests. We have been able to reduce the amount of hiss and rasp coming from the HFC and testpipes without taking away the tone of the ARK 370z exhausts that you guys love so much.

3. ARK HFC
You guys will be in for a big surprise when we are done with this. We have decided to go with a HFC construction as oppose to a testpipe construction due to the core helping to eliminate that rasp. We know for a fact that TP's do produce more power. However, we found out the 370z guys are not willing to sacrifice the sound quality of their exhaust systems for the whp difference between the HFC and TP. The picture below is not the final product nor does it resemble anything close to what we have planned for this HFC project. All we know at this point is that it will take some time. We plan to release this before November for SEMA 2011.

Like always, your support for ARK Performance made us realize that we should take another step into knowing more about the VQ engine and we will continue to produce more innovative high quality systems for all VQ platforms. Thank you for your patience thus far.

Team ARK

I'm ready for your exhaust right now.

Methodical4u 09-02-2011 08:54 PM

Sounds really good guys... i'd like to see a dyno on the CBE as I think a lot of others would as well. It looks very well built, but I wouldn't want to buy the type 2, only to have the Type 1 dyno 5-10 more whp for a little extra money... of course I don't know what the Type 1 will cost either.

wdkwang 09-02-2011 09:07 PM

waiting for dyno numbers and audio clip

daisuke149 09-02-2011 10:11 PM

is that the new kia optima your working on in the background?

... i get a kia.. i get ur exhaust.. wooo

shawn84 09-03-2011 02:45 AM

OH YES.! I was gonna order BERK HFC today, but I changed mind after I read this post. I will wait for you ARK.!

Now the only thing that you guys need to offer for the perfect exhaust system is 3" piping and downpipes for turbo/future turbo fellas. =)

In due time. Clearance is tough with our X and dual resonator setup. Once we see that there are more and more forced Inductioned 370z's. We will be sure to jump on this.

Do it. I like the burnt tip look but no one makes a true 3" CBE with burnt tips. is be in for that exhaust, I currently have ark type 2. You could see, after the v2 about the level of interest in a 3" by ARK and then decide.... good luck with you type 2 v2 exhaust ARK

370zjames 09-15-2011 03:41 PM

is there anything i can do to solve the ground clearance problem with current V2 ??

dnasty370z 09-17-2011 05:25 PM

What gains are the v2's producing?

Highwind 09-19-2011 12:58 AM

I have the V1. Try and adjusting the muffler. Have a friend put some pressure on it while you bolt it down.

windex 10-17-2011 05:08 PM

I really love my V1's but I think my cars too low for them.

TypeOne 10-18-2011 11:01 AM

^^ Agreed

But the thing is, I'm lower than you are and my exhaust has plenty of clearance. There has to be some other way of getting the pipes to sit up higher.

fuct 10-18-2011 01:43 PM

can you make sure the word "ARK" isnt crooked on the back canisters? as in the left and right look symetrical when looking at the exhaust from the rear of the vehicle.

thx!

This.

Either no "ARK" or an "ARK" that isnt crooked and no burnt tips and we will be good to go.

TeamARK 10-18-2011 02:45 PM

The next batch will be perfect. For those who pre ordered through other vendors. You will receive an exhaust that will exceed your expectations in terms of Fitment, Quality, and Performance.

TeamARK 10-19-2011 01:44 PM

Some pictures of the V2 will be posted today@!

Price on this? Where can I order?

TeamARK 10-19-2011 10:53 PM

From any of our authorized dealers. This is only for Pre order at the moment. We also refined the welds and bends of each of the parts of this exhaust system.

G37sHKS 10-20-2011 03:25 AM

I like!

one of the mufflers needs more adjust as left side "STILL" hangs lower than right side.

Hope you were right about better fitment.

Good luck:tiphat:

DarkZide 10-20-2011 08:46 AM

polished tips? price?

windex 10-20-2011 09:38 AM

you all should send me one so I can really test it out. The roads and the the drivers behind me will appreciate me not sending sparks out to greet there bumper :)

GJ Alex man that sounds and looks amazing. Still wish that came in a switchable tips style (stupid driveway)

mikey1600 11-15-2011 04:50 PM

very nice :) sounds awesome

stephen 11-15-2011 10:15 PM

So Alex if we now own the ark exhaust and we scrape everywhere is there a way you guys can own up and swap out for the upgraded new version? Bc as many of us we scape and bottom out a lot ruining our investments? im sure many members would appreciate it! I know i would!

anthonyy 11-15-2011 10:52 PM

the cans look pretty low on this version too :ugh2:

370zNismo66 11-15-2011 11:38 PM

it sits exactly the same height (4.5" at the lowest point) as my stock Nismo exhaust did. btw, that's my car on the video.

TeamARK 11-16-2011 10:51 AM

You know we did something right when our exhaust sits at stock height.

Amen. Makes me sick every time i look at the back of my car. Right side canister hanging lower than the left and the ARK stampings all out of alignment. Looks like a blind monkey put my V1 Grip in.

I hope that's what it means. My car is on jack stands with the stock exhaust off the new HFC's on and NO TRACKING # for the ARK CBE!!!:eekdance:

wdkwang 01-17-2012 01:54 AM

so what's different about the future DTS exhaust aside from the thicker looking tip
