One more suggestion with the installation, Raise the Ypipe and bolt it down. There should be more than enough clearance on that.

bleufiend 02-04-2012 02:39 AM

I adjusted the y pipe up as far as I could and the right side resonator was still contacting. I may just be my car or I got one exhaust that the resonator was to far back. There was only one other guy I saw in this thread earlier on that had the same issue with the exhaust contacting the cross member.

TeamARK 02-04-2012 01:26 PM

That is the V1. You have the V2. All batch has been tested on our Jig here before it is shipped out.

To provide you better support, please email me some pictures to alex@arkperformanceusa.com

In addition, I will have my staff start on installation guides and videos to ensure perfect fitment.

Alex

bleufiend 02-05-2012 07:15 AM

Well I'll wait on your videos to show the process of adjustment. I've already had to cut the cross member but maybe I am missing something. Thank you for the effort.

pf62 02-05-2012 08:11 AM

When mine were being put on the mid pipes were not labled left or right. The exhaust hit the cross member and the tips didn't line up until we switched them.

Interesting. I thought mine had a little white label on it that said "DRIVERSIDE" but I could be mistaken.

MoChu 02-05-2012 12:28 PM

Same problem. Had to cut my cross member. Still can't align the tips

dozerdc 02-05-2012 05:45 PM

Pics of issue? Worried potential buyer here.

TeamARK 02-06-2012 12:15 PM

Please email us the pictures. alex@arkperformanceusa.com. There is no issues with the V2 whatsoever.

Why your making it soo complicated?

They all know how to install Catback, over 500 VHR cars with fast intention exhaust and none used what ever you wanna call it (guides and videos) and none of them had unbalanced mufflers... ;)

And now Motordyne has come... none will have unbalanced mufflers.. mark my word:rolleyes:

Not sure I get what your point is, but your post is rather uncalled for.

My fitment issues have been resolved to my satisfaction, and were caused by me not doing the installation correctly.

Put mine on today...positioning is *slightly* eh, but love the sound.

mantella87 02-26-2012 08:47 PM

Love the look and sound of this exhaust. Plan to get one soon. But I have a question for those of you who are having uneven fitment. What exactly is the cause of this?

dozerdc 02-26-2012 08:58 PM

Not totally sure. Kept everything loose, and tightened gradually. The right one sticks out *slightly* more than than the left. And the left is slightly closer to the bumper. But it's good, though.

Sodapopopopop 02-28-2012 12:54 AM

any info on those HFCs :D

Perf.Des 02-28-2012 04:55 PM

I just got off the phone with Ark....they are looking for a test fitter to try the prototype out. If it passes, then approximately 2 months before they are available for sale.

Dont quote me on that, but this is just what I was told.

Sweet. I wouldn't mind taking my Berks off to have them dyno'd

Having more than one set of hands helps. A lift helps even more. And tightening everything down from the back towards the HFC/Cat also helps.

mantella87 02-28-2012 06:20 PM

Just ordered mine. :happydance:

Gah...and now I'm getting pretty consistent rattling at low RPMs and initial start-up. Plan to jack it up again and look to re-tighten everything (push up the section as suggested, etc), but it seems hard to believe that first section isn't going to hit the cross brace.

Kiiinda frustrated.

mantella87 03-03-2012 08:41 PM

Installed today! Fast shipping/excellent packaging. Fitment wasn't the easiest though. Very happy with the sound and look!

It doesn't look even. But ydg27g looks even. Are they two different batches or something?

mantella87 03-04-2012 07:17 AM

Mine is pretty even, here is a different angle:

http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...76775238_n.jpg

That being said, not every exhaust will have identical fitment.

LakeShow 03-05-2012 12:14 AM

Video's please.

maro 03-05-2012 12:24 AM

what is the size on exhaust tip??

mantella87 03-05-2012 01:30 AM

Here is a really tame video, I know it's weak, so I'll make better clips soon. Like most sound clips, this does the system little to no justice: ARK Exhaust
