I didn't see where this was ever answered, but I'm assuming it's not a problem since it wasn't addressed. I'm planning to switch intakes in a couple months and may add this to the list if all is well.

Not at all. There is plenty of room for cooling the condenser and radiator.
6-8"T X 24-26"W going straight to the pair. The bottom of the air guide only comes down as far as the tow hook and then shoots up at a very steep incline just after it passes the tow hook. Plus, some aftermarket oil coolers and FMIC's completely take up the fresh air and they still run them.

We also may develop an additive guide to push more air into the oil cooler and radiator/condenser as well in the near future. I have had no reports of overheating or increased operation temperatures.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I beat on my Z pretty good at ZDayZ and didn’t have any cooling issues. I’m also running a 25 row oil cooler that partially blocks the radiator too - still no issues.

My Z is due for some new mods and this thing looks promising. I do have a quick question, do I have to remove the crash bar to install this air guide ?

Zbrah,

You do not need to remove the crash bar. It slides right up behind it and bolts into the the upper core support and the bottom side of the crash bar. The longest part of the install is removing the front fascia and splash shield.

I'm very much interested in this, but have a question before I make the purchase. I have a 2009 370z Touring with the stock front bumper, but I've installed a Mishimoto Oil Cooler and a Nismo front end damper. Will I be able to install this with those other two mods? I see a lot of people have after-market oil coolers, but I don't recall anyone mentioning installing a Nismo damper in their non-nismo Z with this mod.

Hey Spartan,

It does fit with the Nismo variants and the front damper is a non issue. As far as the oil cooler goes, the only stipulation is that it utilizes an oil cooler mount that sits on top of the the lower core support opposed to protruding out of it. If this is an issue, All you would need to do is either purchase a bracket to recess it back on top of the lower core support or make your own.

It needs to sit like this

It also depends on how big your oil cooler is, if it is short then you may be able to get away with not having to make or purchase a different mount.

Thanks for the info!

The Mishimoto Cooler measures 5.43 inches high x 11 inches long. I believe it is mounted forward of the lower core support.

Here is an install video. If you start it at the 7.41 time index you will be able to see how and where it is mounted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy0TvUjvQ14

It looks like I will need the additional bracket, but please confirm. If so, will this hamper its performance in any way?

Again, thanks for all the information and for taking the time to engineer and produce a performance part for this car so late in the game!

Spartan, from the video, it looks as if you may not need to alter your setup with the cooler being that short. I would try just removing the bracket with the oil cooler still attached and temporarily drop it down while installing the Air-Guide. Then just see if it clears. I think it may..

No increased temperature or negative impacts have been found or reported at this time. Should be just fine. The air guide leaves plenty of room for air flow.
