A couple Odd things about my Clutch

Don't worry. Mine does the same thing. I feel it at idle. I know it is the pressure plate. I am going to drive it as far as I can, then do a total upgrade. I get feedback from the clutch with the pedal depressed and I hear a clicking sound and feel it in the pedal. I don't always get it. I will guarantee one thing. I will fling that dual mass flywheel across the yard. Told the dealer about it and they were not helpful at all. Hence I told them I would yank that junk out and put a proper clutch, flywheel, and CSC setup in it. Basically, to shove it where the sun don't shine, they were not getting any of my money.

Parts guy I have bought mucho parts from says he keeps a clutch/flywheel on the shelf for the 370z so it is not uncommon.

Well, that thing is so heavy you won't be throwing it very far lol. A lightened flywheel was the best mod I did to my Z!

How is the clutch chatter? A buddy had a lighter flywheel on his 350z and the chatter was annoying

you nailed the problem i have... a bit of a 'click'/knocking i feel and hear... i notice it happens only in certain conditions like on a hill with the nose pointed up the hill (like on my drive way or incline) and also sometimes on flats.

I guess it's a sign that my clutch is worn possibly? clutch fluid is still same colour as when I got the car but I do check weekly when driving... I am debating do a pre-emptive strike next year and do the CSC + switch to a new clutch system.... depends on the wallet

Personally, I think it is a defect that should be covered under warranty. I didn't get anywhere at the dealer though. So, oh well. Still not happy about it.

The level of chatter is somewhere between "F250 Diesel at idle" and "Something sounds broken".

A lightweight flywheel is absolutely worth doing, just know that there are drawbacks.
