I asked Nissan if they had visited these forums and the answer was no. According to the 350Z and 370 Z forum, failure of the clutch slave cylinder is widespread.

I may be wrong, but it is my impression that there was a recall on the 350s. When I bought my Pathfinder, I had no idea that there was a radiator defect that struck at around 60K miles allowing radiator fluid to flow into the transmissioin killing it. I traded the Pathfinder in on the Z at 30K. It was a 2006 model. In 2012, I received a letter saying Nissan had "settled" with the government and would replace the transmission etc free if I still had it. I am sitting here on pins and needles waiting for the call telling me what is wrong.
