the new bushing mount the differential to the subframe more solidly so that it doesn't effect the driveshaft angles, this reduces wheel hop and quickens throttle response because instead of twisting the diff on its mounts the power is delivered to the wheels faster. May increase power just a tiny bit by preventing the axles from binding but probably nothing measurable.
Edit: it is also much more reliable than the factory silicone filled bushing which likes to blow out.
