It's cheaper to have a pro take your intakes off and reinstall them. Unless you wanna go to THE ghetto.

where are you? I'll do/help you swap it

Im curious, Does you registration say that it needs to be smog? or did you just go to see if it would just pass?

Normally NEW cars in Cali don't need a smog for the first 5 years.

If you bought the car the seller is responsible to have it smoged unless he sells it before its due, But that shouldn't be the case for you since its should be till 2015

DMV regulations

Smog Requirements

When buying a used car you have to get it smogged regardless of the 5 year rule. And yeah, the seller SHOULD have done it, but most people don't care on such a new car

it needs to be smogged on change of ownership after that you won't need to smog for the rest of the 5 years unless you sell it. dealers are not required to smog a vehicle pre sale but the must cover the needed repairs if it doesn't pass so if you bought it from a dealer(with the intake on it) tell them what happened and most likely they will smog it for you or fix it because it is still illegal for them to sell a vehicle that doesn't meet emissions. if you bought it private party your best route is to find a more lenient shop or sue/talk to the seller.

Stock intake, $50 and a few minutes of your time. Seems pretty simple to me.

Damn sorry to hear this bro. Hit me up Rocky, ill swap my stockers with you for the test. Can anyone chime in how long he needs to drive the car for the ecu to readjust before going in for testing? Or can we just simply pull he neg. on battery to reset the ecu and go.

Lol
I was gonna say just use mine, swap it then swap back.

And 50 miles or so for the ECU to not come up as "just reset" which will make you fail.

If you need to swap because ZBrah is a bastard
Shoot me a text, I can drive down tonight (31O ) eight nine three -42O7

i wouldnt even disconect the battery until after the smog testing. and i think you need more than 50 miles to reset it.
