Sad update on my part...

Initially, I was enjoying the changes from adding the UD pulley. I had put on about 500 miles or so and started noticing a couple of drops of oil under the car when I moved it. Also started noticing a slight vibration so I called the mechanic that installed it and he came over to check it out. Turns out it wasn't seated properly and was wobbling. I should have known better and taken it to a shop to have done. I told him to just put the stocker back on. I asked if it was still leaking, thinking it was coming from the front crank seal.

Anyway, he puts the stock pulley back on and says it's all good for now. I get the splash panel washed out and spray down the front of the engine to remove any residual oil... That night I'm STILL smelling oil so I crossed my fingers and took it to the dealer. Sure enough, the front crank seal is bad now. They replaced it under warranty and I'm just hoping that no other damage was done by the bad install.

Just a reminder that when you have bits installed, make sure that you know everything is done correctly. I feel like an idiot now, and it's going to take a little while before I trust my car again to be free from defects. I hate this feeling...

This in no way should reflect on NST. Their service and product were great, I just got unlucky with a bad install. Now I have an expensive paperweight as the inner sleeve has a nice uneven groove in it from where it was spinning incorrectly.

I'm sorry to hear about your installation issue there

And I appreciate the kind words regarding our product and service.
Feel free to contact me by phone and I will see what I can do for you regarding your NST Pulley Kit.

Professional installation, from someone who has experience with installing pulleys, is highly recommended.

Thanks again, best of luck to you and your car with all your future projects.

That's very cool :happydance:

We have a lot of local customers in the Houston area who come to our meets and events.
A lot of these people support us by picking up a Tshirt or two!

Thanks for posting that!!!

We can build such pulleys for any customer on a special-order basis, in fact we do this quite often.

I put a mini-blurb in my journal:

Like others said, it's noticeably lighter than the stock pulley. The car feels remarkably different in acceleration. There's a nice flat road behind AE Ryne told me about that goes nowhere (and I made absolutely sure it was clear), and I opened up the taps...whoomph. I think my brain got smashed in the back of my head.

Also to note: my MPGs went up too, but I did install a few things at the same time. No complaints from me so far though, good work NST.

Well if you read the reviews from the people here who actually own and use NST pulleys... these people have nothing but positive reviews for our products.

Please give us a call during normal business hours and we would be happy to set up an appointment for your installation at our shop.

Thanks again, good luck and have fun with all your projects!
