Default Clutch spring question

Ok so I posted this in the DIY section but no one has replied so I thought I'd post it here and hope someone could help me out. How do I remove the circle clip on the right side of the bracket on the bottom of the helper spring? I read the DIY post from the nissan motorsports forum but it says to "pull" it. I tried pulling it w/ needle nose pliers but all it would do is spin around cuz of all the goop stuff that's on it. Any advice on how I should pull it off? Thanks.

You mean the C clip? They can be a pain, just work it with thin needle nose to widen the C so it will pop off. Sometimes you can work it them with thin flathead screw drivers too.

It will go flying. Wear glasses.

Haha thanks! But should I twist it or move it a certain way so it can come off? Or do I just mess w/ it till it comes off?
